Explora Journeys

Launches Explora II:

A Much-Anticipated Experience

Explora II set out on its maiden voyage on September 16, 2024. The luxury liner was built in the Fincantieri Shipyard in Genoa, Italy, and promises to be one of the most elegant experiences ever. Explora Journeys, the cruise line behind the new ship, has a passion for providing ultra-luxury resort and ship experiences. The new ship amplifies that mission, allowing passengers to enjoy the fantastic amenities and well-trained staff's service.

Exploring the World In Elegance

As the second ship in the company’s fleet, Explora II will travel the Caribbean during the next winter before returning to the Mediterranean SE for the summer months. This fabulous ship features 461 oceanfront suites, penthouses, and residences. It brings everything you need with it, including 12 bars, 6 restaurants, lounges, four swimming pools, and wellness venues.

Explore the lounge

Some of the best upgrades from the Explora include a fabulous lounge designed for true elegance and refinement. The Crema Café also offers new takes on your favorite drinks in a stylish space. The new ship also boasts the Atoll Pool. Each of these has been updated and enhanced from the previous ship.

Even better food

This version includes a few other designs and upgrades. A favorite is the Anthology Restaurant, which has become quite a spectacular design featuring exceptional fine Italian cuisine.

Spa options for most needs

For those who love to relax and unwind on their cruise, do not miss out on The Ocean Wellness Spa. It offers a redesigned interior from the previous ship and features more luxurious materials for visitors. It's quite impressively upgraded. You can also visit Subtle Energies, an Australian spa that certainly offers additional treatment options.

Pool upgrades you’ll notice

The pools remain fabulous, but the second ship has added improved outdoor furniture designed by Bespoke Unopiu. It is a significant upgrade for all the area has to offer.

Shop with style

Though Explora features a Rolex shop, it’s been replaced on Explora II with the Buccellati Jewelry Boutique. It’s more extensive in its lineup of fine gems and pieces, and certainly worth exploring.

Explora II features precision Swiss elements and modern European craftsmanship throughout its design. For those seeking truly a getaway with luxury at the forefront, Explora II is a solid investment.

There are More Ships in the Works

Explora Journeys set out an ambitious goal of having 6 ships in place. The Explora II has just launched, but two others are also in the works. Explora III will set sail in 2026, followed up, and Explora IV has just gotten underway to start the build. Two other sips will launch in 2027 and 2028, creating the six-ship lineup the company intends to build.

Explora IV will be operated using Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) instead of other marine fuels. LNG is more environmentally friendly overall. Each of the ships also features a dolphin notation, which works to minimize the amount of underwater noise that often impacts marine life.
